Karlygash Kuralbayeva – Forest Carbon Offsets Market Over a Smart Ledger

On March 29, 18:30-19:30 GMT, we are delighted to be hosting Dr Karlygash Kuralbayeva, Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Political Economy at King’s College London.
Everyone is invited for this in-person event in 32 Lincoln’s Inn Fields L.104, which will be followed with time for informal conversations and snacks.
Professor Kuralbayeva will discuss the evolution of carbon offset markets with especial attention to REDD+ and what has hindered its development so far. She will consider how blockchain technology could address these issues by improving verifiability and reducing the costs of transactions.
