The Essay Competition 2025

The 2025 Essay Competition is now open! 

Please read the official poster, the rubric & grading system, and the supporting guide carefully to help you with submitting your essay.

Entry Requirements: We accept submissions from students globally as long as you fit into one of these categories:

     – Have just completed your penultimate year of secondary/high school (Year 12 in the UK system)

     – Have just completed your final year of secondary/high school (Year 13 in the UK system)

     – Will be entering university in the coming 2025/26 academic year (for example, those who have taken gap years)

*Please note: Entrants can only submit one response to one of the 5 questions. Plagiarism and AI-generated content are strictly forbidden and adequate referencing is vital. All essays will be screened and any found to be in breach of these requirements will be immediately disqualified.*

Deadline for submission: Monday 1st September 2025, 23:59 GMT +1. Any late submissions will not be accepted.
