Nobuhiro Kiyotaki – Intangibles, Inequality, and Stagnation

08.03.2022 @ 18:30 - 19:30

On March 8, 18:30-19:30 GMT, we are delighted to be hosting Nobuhiro Kiyotaki, Professor of Economics and Banking at Princeton University.

Everyone is invited for this in-person event in 32 Lincoln’s Inn Fields L.104, which will be followed with time for informal conversations and snacks.

Professor Kiyotaki will discuss whether slower productivity growth and the lack of youth labour market participation are entwined with the accumulation of intangible capital on the job. He will examine this in the context of Japan and Europe in the 1990s and argue that a slowdown in on-the-job training delivery was contributed to Japan’s economic slump.

Sen Club aims to provide an engaging and interactive platform for students to have a taste of the rich field of academia and research. Please note that opinions expressed are not the opinions of the School, nor of the LSE Department of Economics.
