Emi Nakamura – Empirical Macroeconomics

On January 18, 18:30-19:30 GMT,  we are excited to welcome Professor Emi Nakamura, the Chancellor’s Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.

This week, Professor Nakamura will discuss current issues in empirical macroeconomics. Her presentation will include slow recoveries and the role of the gender revolution, monetary policy shocks at FOMC meetings and natural experiments in macroeconomics. Moreover, she will explore the impact of fiscal stimulus, the Philips curve, and unemployment dynamics in recession vs booms. Professor Nakamura will explicitly focus on a series of graphs on current data and academic research.
